Reiki?

From my research and own experience this is MY own description of what Reiki is:

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes self healing and healing for others. It's a safe simple natural healing method that is administered by placing the hands gently along the head and torso while the client lay or sit fully clothed.
Reiki assists the body to RELAX, and the nervous system to down regulate giving clients a feeling of peace and calm. By entering this relaxed state we are allowing the mind body and spirit to begin to self heal, which is the first step to feel better and function better. Reiki is a whole system treatment that restores balance in the body. It also works well in conjunction with conventional medicine. People have reported less side affects from medication, improved digestion, better sleep, focus, memory and more! Receiving Reiki before and after major procedures, or surgeries can help your body gain strength to recover as quickly as possible. Picture a river full of sticks and debris, the water only trickles downward. When the debris is removed the water is able to move in a more natural free flowing way. It is the same idea in the body. When your "ki" (Life force energy) is gunked with debris, negative energy is stored throughout your system making you feel sluggish, in a rut, muscle tension, stress, emotionally drained, and unbalanced. By receiving Reiki we are using "Rei" (higher power/wisdom) to break apart the effected areas of debris and charging it with positive healthy energy to restore balance throughout the body

Reiki is also known for assisting one on their journey of personal development, aligning with higher self, and the soul's purpose. It can be a magikal road of self discovery, while peeling away the layers of past traumas, negative experiences and even old habits. Expect to gain a new perspective, and open up to new possibilities. An open mind can create a whole new world.

Carissa's journey with Reiki:

I have had an interest in Reiki for quite sometime, as it seemed like it would be a good addition to my Massage Therapy practice.  When my now Reiki Master announced she was teaching Level 1 back in 2015, I jumped in without realizing just how much healing I needed myself. Through daily Self-Reiki I have been able to let go of past hurts, and allow growth in my relationships. My perceptions and awareness have change and I've become more in touch with who I am and what I want. I find it to be true, that Reiki finds you when you are ready to open your mind and heart to it. This non-invasive hands on (or off) healing technique has been a special service for me to provide to others as its affects can be astounding. It has become clear to me that  spreading the knowledge and tools of Reiki's amazing Universal healing to others is a part of my soul's purpose.

Since becoming a Reiki Master Teacher in traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho in January 2016 I’ve had the pleasure to
*Facilitate monthly; Golden Reiki Healing Exchange. Bringing together the Reiki community to practice skills and share energy healing.
*Volunteer with Life Spark Cancer Resources. Providing weekly Reiki sessions to cancer patients.
*Teach Level 1 and 2 classes as of February 2017.
*Continue to offer private Reiki sessions, with chakra crystals and sound healing.

Please reach out to me if you are interested in one on one Reiki sessions and/or group classes. I am honored to assist you in your journey of Self discovery, healing and growth both on the table and teaching you Reiki.
